A viral video seen on X captured the aftermath of the attack, with many travellers who escaped expressing their distress over the abductions.

This marks the second attack on the highway within one month.

On August 13, terrorists blocked the road and abducted all passengers in three vehicles at Margazu village in Tsafe Local Government Area.

On the same day, they also blocked the road near Unguwan Chida and other nearby communities, and abducted passengers in five vehicles.

One of the bandits that have been terrorizing the area had written to communities in the state, demanding N30 million from them to avoid being killed.
