The Attorney General, represented by the Director of Public Prosecution, Mr Julius Ajibare stated that the beneficiaries were considered based on account of good conduct, remorsefulness and period left to serve at the Centre.

He, therefore, advised them to go back to the society, maintain good conduct and shun revenge while avoiding anything that could bring them back to prison.

The Chairman of the Ekiti traditional  rulers noted that the current spate of banditry, kidnapping, unwarranted killings and terrorism in the country call for incessant prayers from religious leaders adding that a celebration such as the Idel Fitri provides another great opportunity for prayers for peace in Nigeria.

In a statement by his media adviser, Chief Ajibade Olubunmi, Oba Alabi remarked that  no tangible development could be recorded in a nation devoid of peace, stability and love.

He, therefore, urged the Muslim faithfuls and other Nigerians to  continue to preach  and embrace peace .

The Monarch while congratulating the Muslims, however, asked Nigerians  to celebrate the festival peacefully considering the current perilous situation we are going  through in the country.
