The Social Media is  awash with series of complaints by Glo Network users over poor services rendered in the past few weeks.

Nigerian subscribers lambasted Nigeria’s top telecommunications company, Globacom Limited, owned by businessman, Mike Adenuga, hitting it hard with intense criticism over its persistent poor voice and data network services performance.

Customers in tweets monitored by this Magazine lamented  what they termed outrageous and unstable network on the eve of the 2020 Eid-el-Kabir and described GLO as ‘the most useless service provider on earth.”

According to some angry customers, it is awful that the network provider would hype unrealistic promotion of data on cable networks instead of improving voice service to its teeming consumers.

I wanted to do N1,000 subscription and my number is 09058108100. I used the *777# then used the alternate chanel of MENU to 127 and it’s still showing error since yesterday.

@philipsdouglass @GloCare for almost two days I haven’t been able to purchase any data plan, so frustrating

@olorunosebi @GloCare I am unable to load data or buy using *777#, I am getting an error message “SORRY! An error has occurred. Please try again later.” I have tried over and over without success, and I have a virtual meeting/training session to facilitate tonight. Please kindly assist.

I have tried again, it didn’t work. I rebooted the phone and tried again, it didn’t work. See attached screenshot. The timestamp in the image is 8:04am.

Glo was founded on the 29th of August, 2003, by Nigerian businessman Mike Adenuga, employing over 3,500 people worldwide. It has over 45 million subscribers (December 2018), making it the second largest network operator in Nigeria.

In 2011, GLO became the first telecommunication company to build an $800 million high-capacity fibre-optic cable known as Glo-1, a submarine cable from the United Kingdom to Nigeria.

Despite its infrastructure investment claims, subscribers appear persistently dissatisfied with its persistent poor services.
