Abegunde ran into troubled waters when two aspirants, one of them, Abraham, the one he was supporting, withdrew from the Governorship race and teamed up with Governor Akeredolu.

Report has it that like a lost and found ram, he was brought to Alagbaka Government House, Sunday evening, and held a meeting with the Governor, and some of his campaign team members.

It was learnt that the reconciliation was made possible by a serving Commissioner, and a group of politicians from Owo, the country home of the governor.

With his return to the political dynasty of Governor Akeredolu, the former scribe is expected to join other chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Akure, and work for the victory of the governor in   the October 10 polls.
