Former Ogun State First Lady Dies

A former First Lady of Ogun State, Chief (Mrs) Lucia Onabowale Onabanjo is dead.

The deceased was the wife of the first civilian  Governor of Ogun State ( October 1979 to December 1993),

Chief Victor Olabisi Onabanjo.

The family, in a short statement, said it announces “with deep regret but with gratitude to Almighty God, the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Chief (Mrs) Lucia Onabowale Onabanjo (1925-2026) who was called to glory on Monday, 12 January.”

The statement noted that she lived a fulfilled life and left a legacy of love, strength and faith behind.

Her husband, born on 12 February 1927, died on April 14, 1990.

Chief (Mrs) Onabanjo died at the age of 100 years.
