A former Presidential Candidate and Publisher of SaharaReporters, Omoyele Sowore, has distanced himself from the recently formed Opposition Coalition, African Democratic Congress, ADC.

He criticized the Coalition members as the very individuals responsible for Nigeria’s long-standing political failures.

Sowore stated that he could not align with politicians he described as “country and destiny destroyers.

He said this

during a televised interview on Friday.

He accused the  Coalition members of recycling themselves under new political platforms without genuine intent for reform.

“I have no doubts that I don’t need to be in bed with strange bedfellows. I cannot be on a bridge that has been built and broken by the same people.”

The Coalition, which recently adopted the ADC as its official political vehicle, consists of members from various parties seeking to challenge the current government ahead of the 2027 general elections.

However, Sowore dismissed the group as lacking credibility, blaming its veteran politicians for the dysfunctional state of the country.

According to him, they are not bridge builders but individuals who have repeatedly failed Nigeria under different party banners.

His comments come amid growing political realignments as opposition figures jostle for influence ahead of the next election cycle.
