The November Governorship election in Ondo state will be a battle between two former Deputy Governors who served under late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Thursday’s primary election of opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has produced a former Deputy Governor of Ondo State under late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s first term, Ajayi Agboola as a winner.
Announcing the breakdown of the results, Bayelsa State Deputy Governor who doubles as the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, said Agboola Ajayi scored 264 to emerge the flagbearer of the party.
Sola Ebiseni scored 99 votes; Adeolu Akinwunmi polled 64 votes; Bamidele Akingboye 24 votes; Bosun Arebuwa scored two votes and John Ola Mafo polled nine votes.
