Five Policemen On Election Duty In Ondo Die In Crash |The Source

The Joy of five Mobile Policemen returning home to join their relations was truncated as they lost their life in a ghastly road accident on Tuesday.

They were killed in an accident, which happened along the Oba Ile/airport road, Akure.

Report said they were part of the 32,000 policemen deployed to Ondo state for the Governorship election, which was held last Saturday.

An eye witness account explained that the victims were in a Toyota Hilux, and were heading towards the airport when the accident happened.

The cause of the midday accident could not be ascertained, but excessive speeding could not be ruled out.

The State Police Command has been informed about the incident as the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro, could only confirm the incident, saying he would still have to find out the exact number of the victims.
