National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, has finally won the ‘fierce battle’. Waziri Bulama has been appointed the National Publicity Secretary of the Party.
For months, it has been alignment and re-alignment in the APC fold over the choice of the Bulama. A group was against the appointment. But Oshiomhole stood behind Bulama, leading to series of controversies that stalled the appointment of the APC Spokesperson.
Bulama has, however, finally taken the oath of office as the new acting National Secretary of the ruling APC.
The swearing-in ceremony which took place at the party national secretariat on Monday, was conducted by Oshiomhole. It had governors of Borno and Gombe in attendance.
Responding, the new national secretary said he has no agenda of his own, promising to work with other party executives to move the party forward.
