Governor Zulum noted that arrangements have also been concluded for food vendors to be feeding the displaced persons in the camps.

He announced Government’s intention to form a health committee that will take care of the flood victims, and also be on standby, in case of the outbreak of diseases.

According to him, the casualty figures will be clear when the ongoing “Search and rescue operations across all the affected communities are concluded.

The Borno State Governor blamed the unprecedented flooding on the heavy terrestrial rainfall being experienced in the state this year.

He maintained the heavy rainfall has resulted in the blockage of most of the drainages and waterways, a situation that was compounded by the over flow of the Alo Dam.
