Fear has gripped Kings College Lagos, Community. The lifeless body of one of its Teachers, Ezekiel Akano, 48, was found in a Classroom under mysterious circumstances.
The body of the deceased was found in the Classroom Sunday morning during a routine check by the School Security.
Vice Principal, Oguniyi Ayodele, went to the Police Station on Lagos Island to report the unfortunate incident.
Police Sources informed Security and Counter Insurgency analyst, Zagazola Makama, that the Vice Principal made the report to the Lagos State Police Command about 7:40 p.m.
According to Police sources, Ayodele said he was alerted to the discovery of Akano’s lifeless body on the school premises located at No. 3, Catholic Mission Street, Lagos Island by the School Security.
A team of detectives was immediately dispatched to the scene, which was cordoned off for investigation.
Photographs of the scene were taken, and a close inspection showed no visible signs of violence on the body of the deceased.
The deceased was identified as a native of Oyo State.
His body was conveyed to Lagos Island Hospital, Odan, where a medical doctor confirmed him dead on arrival.
His remains were deposited at the hospital’s morgue for preservation and autopsy to determine the actual cause of death.
Police said they had commenced a full investigation into the incident and assured the public that all necessary steps were being taken to unravel the circumstances surrounding the sudden death.
