“Please disregard the patent lies and rumours about my political affiliation. I have referred the lead peddlers of the fake news for further action by my lawyers,” the former governor said.
The magazine reported that the former governor became disgruntled with the ruling party after his quest to become a minister of the federal republic was dashed, following his failure to scale the Nigerian Senate screening hurdles.
Those close to him, said he blamed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his misfortune in the APC, and has vowed to fight back in the next 2027 presidential election.
The disgruntled former FTC minister is planning to join forces with other opposition leaders to scuttle President Tinubu’s return to power, sources close to him informed the magazine.
