The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) Ekiti State, Dare Adeleke, has declared that some of the leaders of the party now romancing with either the All Progressives Congress, (APC) or the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have long lost relevance with the party.
Adeleke, who spoke in Ado Ekiti on Saturday, pointed out that former Governor Ayodele Fayose, his deputy, Olusola Eleka and Senator Biodun Olujinmi had since been fraternizing with other parties which make them no longer relevant.
“Watching Ayo Fayose on Seun Okinbaloye’s Politics Today on Channels Television Friday evening was like witnessing the delusional dance of an unstable masquerade in a marketplace of absurdity.
“Fayose, unsteady and incoherent, rambled aimlessly, making a complete nuisance of himself as he tried to convince viewers he wasn’t a full-blown traitor to the party that made him. If guilt had a smell, Fayose’s performance would have stunk up the homes of viewers across the globe.
“Fayose tried to justify his bitterness by citing the planned defection of Senator Biodun Olujinmi, claiming she told him she would be leaving PDP on Monday, as if that was some breaking news.

“Everyone knows Olujinmi has long fraternized with the APC. Olujinmi, former Deputy Governor Professor Kolapo Olusola Eleka, and others have been collecting monthly allowances from the APC and are now planning to hide under the ADC, a party of no consequence. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
“What political value does Eleka offer? A man who ran for governor and couldn’t win his ward in Ikere? He delivered zero seats. Eleka has always been a liability to the PDP, and his exit is being celebrated by a party now unburdened by his weight.
“Just like his fellow traveler Fayose, Eleka wanted the party structure handed to him on a platter. Unknown to him, we had already seen his defection coming.
“The fact is that Fayose lobbied for control of two local government EXCOs and was rightly denied. If Fayose were as politically influential as he claims, he would have moved the PDP’s structure in Ekiti to the APC or ADC. But not one ward or LGA chairman has followed him.
“I assure Fayose, the father and grandfather of betrayal, that the PDP, which he now refers to as ‘they,’ remains strong. We will mobilize true party loyalists, not his ADC-bound jokers like Olujinmi and Ojudu, who will remain irrelevant back benchers. Let it be known that the PDP will win Ekiti State, and I am emphatic about this.
“He called the PDP a carcass, yet continues to cling to it. Well, the ‘carcass’ has now spat him out. On Saturday, all PDP local government chairmen issued a statement disowning him and condemning his conduct.”
