Acting Governor of Edo state, Philip Shaibu and National President of Nigeria Catholic Diocesan Priests Association, Very Rev Father Don Bosco Ezehi, have added their voice to call on President Mohamadu Buhari to resign if he cannot address the numerous security challenges facing the country.
The duo made the call on the back of similar call by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, which had earlier noted that the present administration cannot protect Nigerians from the current security challenges and mindless killings.
The call was made at the funeral mass of the late Catholic Priest, Reverend Father Christopher Odia-Ogedegbe who was abducted and killed at Ikabigbo in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State by kidnappers.
Shaibu and Ezehi lamented the spate of killings in all parts of the country, which have gone on unhindered.
