Ebonyi Police Disburses N25 Million To Families Of Dead Officers

The Ebonyi State Commissioner of Police, Anthonia Uche Anya, has appealed to recipients of the benefits accruing to deceased and wounded personnel of the Service to make judicious use of the funds.

The CP who spoke at the occasion of the formal presentation of cheques to relations of the beneficiaries, urged them to take adequate care of the dependents left behind.

A statement issued on Saturday, October 19, 2024, by the Ebonyi Police Command spokesperson, Joshua Ukandu, said that over N25 million was disbursed to the families of the beneficiary- officers on behalf of Group Life Assurance/Group Personal Accident and IGP Family Welfare Scheme .

CP Uche-Anya who was represented at the ceremony by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Administration, Muhammad Alhaji Muhammad, also expressed solidarity with the families of the concerned personnel.

Speaking on behalf of the recipients, Nwali Emmanuel, while appreciating the Inspector General of Police for the gesture, assured that the fines will be channeled into useful ventures for the benefit of those left behind by the deceased and wounded Police officers.
