From unexpected quarters came a support for the dethronement of Muhammadu Sanusi II Lamido Sanusi as the Emir of Kano.
Former Niger Delta Militant, Mujaheed Asari Dokubo, who has been rather very quiet, and off the media scene for while, has come out to back the dethronement of the deposed Emir by Governor Ganduje and the Kano State Government.
In a video on YouTube, the ex-militant said Sanusi’s dethronement was expected, as he was not championing the interest of the North.
According to Dokubo, Sanusi was not sincerely speaking in the interest of the Northerners.
Dokubo: “Sanusi has been immersed in fraud and as such needs to be convicted and imprisoned after the dethronement.
“He is not to be pitied, rather he should be charged to court for Corruption, corrupt practices and fraud”.
Aside from the Kano State Government and Governor Ganduje, Dokubo seems to be a lonely voice in his support of the fate that befell the deposed Emir.
