Justice Simon Aboki of the High Court, Lafia, Nasarawa State, has sentenced Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, killer of a National Youth Service Corps member, Salome Adaidu, to death by hanging.
The Gospel Singer killed his girlfriend and dismembered her body, claiming the deceased cheated on him.
Ajayi faced a one-count charge of culpable Homicide contrary to Section 221 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria and punishable by death.
Many had thought that Ajayi killed his girlfriend for the purpose of making money ritual, but he said he committed the dastardly crime because she, allegedly, cheated on him.
