Residents view the outfit as a terror for the indigenous communities it was meant to protect. It is mostly active in Ebonyi and Imo states.
There were reports of human rights abuse, extra-judicial killings and banditry allegedly associated with the group.
The Court cited cases of extortions, illegal arrests and use of firearms against the citizenry.
