Coronavirus: How Victor Moses Ejected From Hotel; Taken To Isolation Center

Victor Moses may have become the first high profile Nigerian international footballer to fall victim to the Coronavirus. If confirmed, that would add to his woes.

Since his move from Turkish Club Side, Fenerbahce Football Club to Italian Serie A side, Internazionale Milano Football Club from his Parent Club, Chelsea Football Club in England, Victor Moses has been on and off, and  plagued by continuous injury. He  has been living at the Hotel Melia in Milan.

According to media reports from Italy, the former Nigerian winger has been ejected from the hotel due to coronavirus regulations.

Also ejected alongside Moses are two players who joined the Club during the January Transfer Window.

They are Christian Eriksen and Ashley Young, who were also staying at the Hotel Melià in Milan but they have been told to look for a new accommodation in order to put themselves in self-isolation.

Moses is recovering from a muscle injury and had targeted a return to action against Getafe in the Europa League on Thursday, March 19 but the game has been postponed by UEFA in light of recent developments regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Europe.

The 29-year-old reunited with ex-Chelsea coach Antonio Conte in January, inking a loan deal with Inter Milan until the end of the season with a purchase option inserted into the contract.

Prior to Moses’ spell on the sidelines, the right wing-back played seven games for Inter Milan in all competitions.

Juventus and Italy defender Daniele Rugani is the first player in the Italian Serie A to test positive for coronavirus, followed by Maniolo Gabbiadini of Sampdoria Football Club in Italy.

Over Seven Sampdoria players have tested positive to the deadly disease also know as Covid-19.

The Union of European Football Association, UEFA, has cancelled all matches to be played in the UEFA Champions League and in the Europa League due to the outbreak of Covid-19 that taken the world by storm.

Major European Leagues have called  off the league till April, envisaging that within the said period, vaccine to treat the virus would have been discovered.

The Barclays English Premier League in England, La Liga in Spain, Bundesliga in Germany, Ligue 1 in France, among other leagues, have been stopped.
