The announced death of Abu Bakre al-Baghdadi, the alleged leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, has, like Boko Haram’s Abubakar Shekau, been announced dead for about seven times in the past, with conspiracy theorists claiming that he is either an Isreali secret agent of he is just a title for the leadership of the terrorist organization.
American President Donald Trump had tweeted his death, saying he died of suicide “like a coward”.
“Baghdadi was vicious and violent”, Trump said, “and he died in a vicious and violent way, as a coward, running and crying. He died like a dog, he died like a coward”.
But a little digging shows that his death had been announced several times in the past, indicating that this may not be the last time his death will be announced.
In 207, he was reportedly killed-even though there were doubts of his existence within international media circles. Few months after his “death”, a US military top brass reportedly said in a press conference that such a name may not have existed in person. Conspiracy theorists insisted that the name Al-Baghdadi simply means from Baghdad, and could describe anyone. But in 2009, Reuters reported the capture of Al Baghdadi by Iraqi forces. While ISIS denied the arrest, the Iraqi prime Minister announced his death in 2010 following an air raid by US forces. In 2012, Al Jazera was told he was arrested.
After this, he made his first public appearance in 2014, though later in the year he was reported “critically wounded”. Five months later, within the next year, he was “seriously wounded”. Reports were rife of his being killed in 2016.
The following year, Russian Airstrike killed him, and this was announced on Russian TV by the Russian Defence Ministry. The following year, he was said to, again, be severely wounded in an air raid In Syria.
Last April, he was shown in a Video by the Islamic state, releasing his usual hate message.
The US had claimed to have had him in custody 2004, in a camp in Buca.
Russia has dismissed Trumps claim as Propaganda. But curiously, Iran claimed that the US has destroyed”its own creation”.
And this brings on the question: Did, or does an El Baghdadi exist at all?
Edward Snowdon, the whistleblower thinks so. But he has claimed that he is a creation of the US, UK, and Israel to remove the Iranian strongman, Assad. According to Snowdon, his real name is Simon Elliot, and that he is a Mossad agent, created to form a resistant group using the promise of establishing the Islamic caliphate as a bait.He is said to be an undercover agent with a specific task.
Snowdon’s allegation has, however, not been verified by most international mediums pursuing the case.
According to him, Simon Elliot, or Elliot Shimon, was born of two jewish parents.
