Super Eagles young sensation and Villarreal Football Club of Spain winger, Samuel Chukwueze, is a major target for Manchester City’s coach, Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola said he is poised to signing the young Nigerian to strengthen his squad for next season, and the 2019 African Cup of Nations Bronze medalist with the Super Eagles in Egypt, is a major asset he needs to bolster his side.
Chukwueze has been superb this season with the Yellow Submarine as the Villarreal team is called, scoring and assisting the team, which has seen the side winning back to back matches before their recent loss in the league and in the Copa De La Rey.
Guardiola is the latest Premier League side, that are looking to sign Chukwueze from Villarreal, joining Liverpool and Chelsea in the chase for the Super Eagles winger.
The Reds are believed to have seen a bid of €35million for Chukwueze rejected in January, with the club demanding that prospective buyers must meet the 20-year-old 65million release clause in his contract.
No doubt, Guardiola is an admirer of the Nigerian, and he hasn’t hidden his interest in the youngster, and will fight off competition to bring him to the Etihad in the summer.
