Former Governor of Enugu State and the Senator, Enugu East Senatorial District in the Senate, Chimaroke Nnamani, has announced that his mother will be interred today, in the United States of America (U.S.A).
His mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Nwachi Nnamani, lived most of her life in Virginia United States. Her viewing is at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home in Virginia, United States.
Nnamani, a Medical Doctor, lived and practiced in the United States before returning to Nigeria to contest for the Governorship of Enugu state, which he won.
His mother remained in the US even when he was governor.
The late Mrs. Nnamani died on November 13, 2021, at Fairfax County, Virginia, United States after a brief illness at the age of 85.
The Senator, in announcing the funeral in Nigeria, said in a statement in Abuja Sunday that before her death, she requested to be buried in the United States where she had lived for many years.
According to him, the funeral will be live streamed from 6:00p.m Nigerian time Monday with event ID: [email protected] and password: HNAHG6.
The traditional burial rites, however, will be held at Agbani in Nkanu West Council of Enugu State at a yet to be announced date.
