Embattled former Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, governor Godwin Emefiele has been granted bail by an Abuja High Court.
Emefiele was last week sent to Kuje Prison by the court after he was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC for alleged fraud.
In his ruling on Wednesday, the court presided by Justice Hamza Muazu, the former CBN boss was granted bail on a N300 million bond.
Aside the bond, Justice Muazu also ordered Emefiele to produce two sureties, who must be resident within the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and have landed property within the Maitama District.
The court said hearing on the case will commence on November 28.
Emefiele was also ordered to submit his traveling documents to the court’s clerk.
