CBN: EFCC Docks Emefiele Today For Alleged N6.9bn Contract Fraud

The trial of the immediate past Central Bank Governor, CBN, Godwin Emefiele begins today.
The embattled former CBN governor trial was supposed to state yesterday, but shifted due to the NLC nationwide strike.
Emefiele is being tried by the the anti-graft agency alongside his alleged accomplice, Ramalan Yaro, a former CBN employee for an alleged contract fraud totaling N6 .9 billion.
According to the charge sheet, the former CBN governor who regained his freedom last week after spending five months in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS and EFCC, is being accused of using his position as the head of the government-controlled bank to confer indue advantage on the contractor.
