He thus becomes the second governor, after the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, to contract the disease.

But unlike Mohammed who disclosed he contracted his after shaking hands with Mohammed Atiku, son of former Vice President Abubakar Atiku, an assertion the younger Atiku denied, El-Rufai did not disclose how and/or where he contracted his.

It is, however, strongly being speculated that he contracted it at the Villa from either the President’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, or Governor Mohammed, when they  met at the Villa, amongst most other  governors. Both men are positive to the disease.
