Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, an All Progressives Congress, APC, Chieftain may not be present at Thursday’s meeting of the Party’s National Executive Council, NEC Virtual meeting.

Scheduled to hold at the Aso Rock, on the invitation of Chief Victor Giadom, President Muhammadu Buhari will attend the meeting, which will also be attended by APC Governors and NEC members.

But reports say Tinubu may not be at the meeting, as he was not invited.

A source said his name was not included in the list of invitees to the meeting as he holds no official position in the party except the ceremony “Party Leader”, the official designation of Mr President in the party.

The President, on Wednesday, endorsed Chief Giadom as the Acting National Chairman of the APC.

Suspended National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, had strongly been against the appointment of Giadom to the office. Tinubu is reportedly a strong backer of Oshiomhole, and must have been taken aback by the President’s endorsement of Giadom.

Asked during a Channels Television interview if Tinubu was invited to the meeting, Giadom was non-commitant. He directed his interviewer to the APC constitution to find out who and who are qualified to attend the meeting.

At the meeting, the crises rocking the party will take the front burner.

Speculations are that the NWC could be dissolved.

Many APC members, including former National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, had asked for its dissolution.

The NEC meeting will be the first in many months.

Suspended Chairman, Oshimhole never summoned any.
