The Supreme Court, on Friday, directed the federal government to stop monetary allocation to Rivers state from the federation Account until a proper House of Assembly is constituted.
Forthwith, the court ordered the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, to withhold federal allocation to the state until the judgment is fully complied with.
The nation’s apex court, also in its ruling ordered the martin Amaewhule faction of the state Assembly to resume sittings immediately with all elected members of the house.
