To make the most out of the crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress, APC, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has postponed its Governorship Primary.
Earlier scheduled to hold on June the 19th and 20th, it has now been rescheduled to hold on June the 23rd.
Kola Ologbondiyan, told newsmen in Abuja, on Thursday, of the postponement.
Even though he gave no reason for it, speculation is that it is to accommodate Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, who has just resigned from the APC, after he was disqualified from taking part in the Primary.
He has since been discussing with the the leadership of the PDP and its power-brokers for his decampment to the PDP.
It is strongly believed that he would fly the PDP’s flag in the governorship election. The postponement would offer him and the PDP the opportunity to tie up loose ends.
