The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has approved the appointment of electoral and appeal committees for the 2020 governorship elections in Edo state, fixing the elections for Thursday, June 25th, 2020. They, however, fixed the appeal for any fallout from the elections for June 27th.
The five-member selection committee will be chaired by Senator Bala Mohammed with Solomon Burrus Maren as secretary. Other members are Seyi Makinde, Bello Maradaun, and Uche Ekwunife.
The appeal panel is headed by the chairman of the Party, Uche Secondus, and comprises 24 members, including the members of the board of trustees from the six geopolitical zones of the country. These are Ahmed Maikarfi, Northwest, David Mark, Northcentral, Maryam Ciroma, Northeast; Okwesilieze Nwodo, Southeast; Lyel Imoke, South-south, Southwest.
Senator Umaru Tsauri will serve as secretary.
