The victory Party of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State at the Supreme Court against the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship Candidate, Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola has been cut short following the passing of Soji Adagunodo, the PDP’s National Vice Chairman, South West.
Adagunodo had been bedridden for a while with an undisclosed illness in the United States of America.
It was gathered that the late PDP stalwart had traveled to the US after the 2023 General Elections for a routine medical check up, but the illness aggravated prompting him to remain in the US till he passed on.
A source who disclosed his passing to this news medium said; “He died this afternoon. We were called from the United States that he has died. He travelled to the US shortly after the general elections for a routine medical checkup”.
The deceased hailed from Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State and once served as a member of the Osun State House of Assembly.
He played an integral role in the emergence of Adeleke as the Governor of the State.
