Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, has been impeached.
He was impeached for gross misconduct, misuse of office.

Hon. Lasbat Meranda has been named as the new Speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly.
It was gathered that the removal of Obasa was rife following his activities that has been a major issue, prompting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to wade in.
His removal was cemented when President Tinubu came for festivity in Lagos State, with his abuse of power discussed, leading to his removal.
