There is apprehension at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, a Northern Youths Group stormed the Nation’s seat of power to protest against President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration over the killings in the North.
The Group had taken over the social media for weeks with the hashtag #NorthIsBleeding.
The members are lamenting the continuous insecurity and killings that have ravaged the Northern states under the All Progressives Congress, APC, of President Buhari.
The aggrieved Youths chanted revolutionary songs carrying placards with different inscriptions against the Government.
It was gathered that policemen in the FCT harassed some of the protesters and arrested some.
It would be recalled that in recent weeks, the hashtag #NorthIsBleeding, had gone viral, as Nigerians from the Northern part of the country took to Twitter, a microblogging and social network service, to demand Buhari’s resignation over his Government’s failure to combat increasing insecurity in the region.
They had, among other things, condemned Buhari’s visit to Lagos State for the book launch of a political ally, Chief Bisi Akande, a few days after bandits burnt to ashes, according to reports, about 45 travellers in Sokoto State.
Protests had enveloped Kano, and a few other Northern States before spreading to the FCT.
