The Nigeria Movie industry, popularly known as Nollywood, has been thrown into mourning, less than two weeks after the death of Ada Bonsah.
Nollywood actress, Emilia Dike, who was in the English and Igbo speaking part of Nollywood died on Wednesday in Enugu State.
The actress was reported to have slumped and died after been rushed to the hospital in Enugu State.
Her demise was announced by movie director , Okechukwu Oku on his Instagram page.
He wrote, “Why is death taking the best people???? I’m confused oooo. Just filmed with Mama here on my 2 last projects, excited to release it and this horrible news today.
“A woman with a heart of gold, Aah noooo. Will miss you Mrs Dike. Nollywood has lost a gem in you. This is messed up.”
Emilia’s colleagues have taken to their respective social media platforms to pay tributes to the actress they described as a great woman.
The deceased was known for movies like ‘Where Money Never Sleep’ 1 and 2 and host of other movies.
Her death makes it the third to have happened this month, with Yomi Obileye, Ada Bonsah and now Emilia Dike.
