Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda has, officially, resigned from her position as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
She resigned from her position following the intervention by the Presidency, who prevailed on her to return to her previous position as Deputy Speaker.
As she formally signed her resignation Letter, tears rolled down her cheeks, as her historic moment and adventure as Speaker finally came to end.
The Lawmakers who pledged allegiance to Meranda could not also hold back tears following her resignation.
