Suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic Financial and Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, a Commissioner of Police, has hired private security guards to protect his family.
This was disclosed, Wednesday evening, by his Counsel, Tosin Ojaomo, while speaking on a Channels Television programme, Politics Today, anchored by Seun Okunbaloye.
He said it was wrong to have stripped Magu and his family members of security personnel, pointing out that having stepped on powerful toes in the course of his job, Magu has been left naked.
To protect his family, he had to hire private guards, his Counsel bemoaned.
He also condemned the idea of keeping Magu in detention for ten days, describing it as illegal.
Asked if he would fight for Magu to go back to EFCC, he said he would, affirming that Magu would come out of the investigation, clean.
