The #EndSARS protesters in Lagos say they would defy the Lagos State Government’s Curfew imposition. They insist on continuing with the #EndSARS protests which have been on, nationwide, for 12 days.
The youths blocked all roads and grounded Lagos, causing the Government to shut down schools on Monday.
The peaceful protests in Lagos had degenerated to violence, and hijacked by all sorts, including hoodlums.
They resorted to looting, killings and extortion of the people, deviating from what protesters had planned.
The Protesters did not help issues as their demands increased by the day.
On Tuesday, the roadblocks increased, and the violence intensified.
In the afternoon of Tuesday, in response, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu imposed a 24-hour curfew, beginning from 4.00pm to avoid more deaths and destruction of properties.
But the Protesters say they are not moved by the curfew, insisting they would stay put on the streets.
One of them who spoke to Channels Television, said the Government was not serious if they expected them to disperse, just like that.
He said;” The curfew will meet us here. We are going nowhere. We will stay put, and continue with our demands.”
It is not known what action the Government would take if the protesters insist on defying the curfew.
