A sibling of Rochas Okorocha, former Governor of Imo State, Mrs Geraldine Obinali, nee Okorocha, has lost a large expanse of land, allocated to her company during the Okorocha administration.
The plots of land are located at the Redemption Housing Estate Phase 111. They were allocated to Jessdean Ventures Ltd, of Number 3 Okeoma Close, Trans Egbu Layout, Owerri. The company is owned by Mrs Obinali, Okorocha’s sibling.
A Public Notice signed by Barr. Chinedu Mbakwe Obi, General Manager/ Chief Executive Officer, Imo Housing Estate, said the revocation was ” Sequel to all legal actions taken to notify Jessdean Vetures Ltd…” It said the land was allocated to her “for the sole purpose of providing infrastural facilities in the Estate which was never carried out.”
It asked anybody who had transacted on any of the revoked plots to “immediately come to the Imo State Housing Corporation with original papers for ratification.”
Following is the full text of the public notice revoking the land.
