A three-man panel of the division of the Court in Abuja, upheld the earlier judgement of a lower Court which upheld his suspension by his Ward. The Appeal Court, reaffirming that judgement, asked him to stop parading himself as the APC National Chairman. It, also,  stripped him of all privileges due to that office, including security aides.

But speaking in an interview on Channels Television, Wednesday evening, Oshiomhole said he had no choice other than to accept the verdict which upheld his suspension.

He said he was resting, and reflecting, and discussing with his legal team on the way forward.

He, however, took a swipe at Victor Giadom, chiding him for appointing himself Acting Chairman. “He should have some sense, Oshiomhole said.

He also chided  him for claiming that the party had not received the resignation letter from the APC, of Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, insisting that Obaseki voluntarily resigned, and his resignation, accepted. Oshiomhole said he took no decision without members of the NWC, pointing out that the NWC is continuing with the Primary, by appointing members of the Governorship Committee. He also asked Viacom not to import the crisis which bedevilled the APC in Rivers State to the National level.

Giadom had, on declaring himself the Acting Chairman, cancelled the screening of Governorship aspirants which disqualified Obaseki, insisting that the party has not received any letter from Obaseki.

Oshiomhole, without confirming it, more than hinted that he would challenge his suspension   in a higher court, meaning the Supreme Court.

Emphasising that he has always been a victim of persecution and struggles, he said he would wait on his lawyers for the way forward.
