The Nigeria Airforce, NAF, Sunday evening, released the identity of the driver who killed Flying Officer Tolulope Ayotile, Nigeria’s first female Helicopter Combatant Pilot in a vehicle accident.
In a briefing in Abuja, NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola said the diseased was inadvertently knocked down by her former schoolmate. He gave the name as Nehemiah Adejoh. He was in the car with two of their other classmates at the Airforce Secondary School Kaduna, identified as Mr Igbekele Folorunsho and Mr Festus Gbalegun. None of them was drunk, or had any substance.
There was outrage over the death of the officer, with many people asking for investigation into her death.
“Mr. Nehemiah Adejoh, Mr. Igbekele Folorunsho, and Mr. Festus Gbayegun, drove past her in a Kia Sorento SUV, with Registration Number AZ 478 MKA,”. Daramola said.
He also revealed that the Pilot lived in Enugu, but had come to Kaduna for her promotional exams. He also revealed that she had two calls, one from her mate to plan their return journey to Enugu, and another to her Superior officer in Niger state, as regards her new assignment.
