Breaking: General Sam Momah Is Dead; Buhari Mourns |The Source

An accomplished  Igbo son, who rose to the rank of a Major General in the Nigeria Army, Major General Sam Momah, rtd, is dead.

An academic, an author of 13 books, a former Minister for Science and Technology, General Momah died on Wednesday afternoon, reportedly, of complications connected to diabetes.

Among other positions held, Momah was an Adjutant General of

the Nigeria Army, Commander, Training and Doctrine Command, and Pioneer Director of Nigeria War College.

Momah read Engeneering, and was on the Governing Council of the Universities of Jos and Nnamdi Azikiwe.

Mourning Momah in a press release signed on his behalf by his Media  Adviser, Femi Adesina, President Muhammadu Buhari said of Momah: “As a former Chief Administrator and Adjutant General of the Nigeria Army, the President notes that Major General Momah  served the Army meritoriously, attracting many honours”

The retired General died at the age of 77 years.
