There is palpable tension in the All Progressives Congress, APC, Party, following the disqualification of 10 Aspirants vying for the Party’s Presidential ticket.
The Chairman Presidential Screening Committee and former National Chairman of APC, John Odigie Oyegun disqualified 10 out of 23 aspirants screened to contest the party’s ticket.
In a report submitted by the Odigie-Oyegun led committee to the National Chairman of the Party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, only 13 aspirants out of the 23 that appeared before the committee were cleared.
Reason for the disqualification of the 10 Aspirants is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing in this report.
The Primary of the ruling Party is slated for June 6th to June 7th 2022.
With this development, political observers say there will be rancour which could lead to some members leaving the Party in protest.
