Death came calling Thursday morning, and picked one of Nigeria’s best in the Navy. Rear Admiral Joe Omozuwa Aikhomu has passed on.
A younger brother to late Chief of General Staff, during the General Ibrahim Babangida regime, Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, Joe Aikhomu was aged 65 years.
A native of Irruah, Edo State, he was a well decorated Officer, and had many successful exploits within Nigeria, West Africa and the world before he retired at the age of 60 years.
Incidentally, he would be the third Navy Admiral from the Aikhomu family to pass on.
