Borno: Boko Haram Burns INEC Office

Latest information reaching The Source indicate that the Boko Haram terrorist group has invaded Gubio and Magumeri towns of Borno state Wednesday night.

The two towns are in the Northern part of the state.

Reports indicate that the group entered the town shooting sporadically into the air and setting houses on fire.

One of the burnt houses was said to be the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

It was gathered that at the time of the invasion, there was no military presence in the towns, but later the army mobilized to repel the group.

There were reports of casualties but this cannot be immediately confirmed. Many reportedly evacuated themselves before the attack.
