According to the Commissioner, the people having been fed up by the bandits’ regular torment decided to lay ambush against them. This  led to many casualties on the part of the terrorists.

” The people of Unguwan Mantau decided to lay an ambush against bandits and killed many of them in the process”, Muazu noted

He, however, informed that security has been enhanced in the affected community, with a clear mandate to root out the bandits.

” Air Component of the Forward Operation Base, Nigerian Army, and the Nigerian Police Force, have already been deployed to clear the bandits.

“Due to the fact that during rainy season, bandits do hide under crops to perpetrate their evil acts. We are working towards bringing them to book”, Muazu asserted.
