Mohammed, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who is currently battling with the Coronavirus disease, says the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, lied against him.

The Governor had, in the wake of Atiku testing positive to the disease, disclosed that he had placed himself on self- isolation because he had shaken hands with Atiku’s son while they were on the same flight.

On Tuesday, the Governor was confirmed positive for the disease.

But Atiku’s son says that the Governor lied against him, and wonders why he would deceive Nigerians.
In a “chat” with Premium Times, Mohammed Atiku admitted being on the same flight with the Governor, but says they never shook hands with each other.
“I was on the same Aero flight with him, but I was on one side of the aircraft with my wife, and he was on the other side with his wife. We only waved at each other.”

He went on to reveal that the Governor was in Germany between March 12 and 15 where he signed  an MoU with a German Foundation,  Water is Right, and so wondered why he hid that fact from Nigerians.

He also revealed that on return, the Governor held a meeting with Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, in Bauchi, and went to the Villa where he attended a meeting of the National Economic Council of States, sat close to the Bayelsa State Governor, Duoye Diri, and,  also, had a discussion with the Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki.
