According to the group, it will be impossible for the leaders of ADA to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and All Progressives Congress, APC form power in 2027, saying politics is a game of number and not ‘noise’.

The group spoke in a statement issued by its Chairman, Ibrahim Dan-Gaskiya on Thursday, describing ADA and the ongoing coalition talks, by some opposition leaders in the country to dislodge President tinubu form power in the next presidential election as dead on arrival.

Dan-Gaskiya: “The so-called ADA coalition is nothing but a gathering of political paper tigers. They have lost touch with the people and even with their own political bases.

“Democracy is a game of numbers, not noise, and the APC remains the party to beat come 2027.”

ADA, believed to be promoted by oppositon leaders in the country, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna state governor, Ahmad Nasir El Rufa, a former Minister of Transportation and former River state governor, Rotimi Amaechi, among others  had last week written a letter to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, seeking registration as a political party in the country.

The Prof. Mahmood Yakubu-led INEC has however replied saying ADA and others have applied for registration but has yet to meet all the requirements to become political parties. The commission said no fewer than 110 associations have applied to be roistered as political parties.
