Senator Rochas Owelle Okorocha  representing Imo West Senatorial District, has given his political party,  the All Progressives Congress, APC, a shocker. Speaking in Kano over the weekend, he predicted the death of the party in 2023.

Okorocha said he has lost faith in the party following, especially, the deepening of the crisis in Edo State between the party’s National Chairman, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, and the Governor of the State, Godwin Obaseki.

The former Imo State Governor said the leadership style of Oshiomhole is zero, and condemned his high handedness which could possibly lead the party into extinction after the President Muhammadu Buhari administration in 2023.

“I have said it earlier that APC is a party that was hurriedly put together when we were governors, because we felt at that time that the government in power wasn’t living to expectations, and we were bent on bringing about change in the Country.

“This we achieved in 2015 when we set up this party, but presently, we have lost that because President Buhari gave us the integrity we needed. But presently, the leadership style of some elements in the party who are carried away with positions bestowed on them spell doom for the party.

“If the excesses of Oshiomhole are not curtailed, APC will become history come 2023”, he concluded.
