Rising from an enlarged Stakeholders parley of Kano All Progressive Congress APC on Thursday January 25 2024 ,the National Chairman Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has formally called on Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to dump his New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP and join the APC .
This is even as Dr Ganduje noted that APC has commenced moves and talks which will culminate in some Governors, Senators and other high profile political office holders from other parties across the country joining the APC family.
” Talks with other political parties nationwide have reached advanced stage . And very soon Governors and Law makers from other political parties will join us.
We are calling on the Governor of Kano state and all the supporters of the NNPP to join APC
“We are assuring the Governor of Kano of a very conducive environment . His coming to APC ,will strengthen the party at the state and national levels, and will in turn drive development in kano,” Ganduje stated
The APC National Chairman further noted that the party is aggressively pursuing its target of enlisting more members across the country, adding that the APC will soon embark on e – registration of its members.
“Our doors and hands are open in APC to welcome every body and groups willing to come on board . We assure them of equal opportunities and treatment . In kano ,our aim is to have a one party state, which we believe will be in the over all good of our people.” Ganduje stated
The Source reports that the Thursday January 25 enlarged stakeholders meeting which was attended by the Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, leader of the northern caucus at the House of Representatives Alhassan Doguwa ,the APC Kano executives and host of others ,was a follow up to a stake holders meeting held in Abuja last week to review the affairs of the party in kano after its loss of the state,s gubernatorial contest.
The Kano APC is believed, strongly, to be under presidential pressure to seek ways of accommodating Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and his NNPP followers ,a development which is said not to be sitting well with many APC Stakeholders in the State.
