The National Chairman of All Progressive Congress, APC, and immediate past Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, has strongly condemned last Wednesday’s arson attack on a Mosque in the Gabasawa Local Council of the State in which a number of people were killed and many injured.
In a statement issued and personally signed by him on Saturday, May 18, Dr Gandunje also appealed for mitigating measures for those that suffered varying loses and pains as a result of the attack.
The Source reports that on Wednesday May 15, one Shafiu Abubakar, believed to be aggrieved over the sharing formula of family inheritance vented his frustration on the Mosque with about 40 worshipers said to be observing their early morning prayers as at the time he set it ablaze.
Dr Ganduje while on behalf of the leadership and entire members of the APC family and the people of kano extended his heart felt sympathy to all those adversely affected, described the incident as unfortunate and condemnable.
The APC National Chairman said he is deeply saddened by the unfortunate incident in which innocent worshipers were dastardly killed.
“This tragic attack should rightly shake our people to their cores ,considering the magnitude of losses ,and we stand in solidarity with those who are mourning the loss of their loved ones
Our thoughts and prayers are with each and every individual impacted by this tragedy At times like this, it is crucial we come together to support one another, offering comfort, strength and compassion to those in need, ” Ganduje noted .
He, therefore, called on all public spirited and privileged individuals and entities to identity with those affected by the tragic incident.
