The Governor Mai Mala Buni-led All Progressives Congress Caretaker Committee is set to, as from today, Tuesday, start an appeasement of one of the leaders of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. They will, also, discuss how to move the party forward.
Buni reportedly informed the committee members that Tinubu remains a valuable asset to the party, and can never be shoved aside, rather, it was mandatory to reconcile him with other aggrieved stalwarts of the Party.
The magazine gathered that the visit would be an avenue to reassure the former Lagos governor of their respect for him and seek his support for ongoing peace building and reconciliation process.
During the inauguration, the committee promised to reposition the party and commence the process of true reconciliation among leaders and members of the party at all levels.
APC Caretaker Chairman said, “It is time for this committee therefore to commence the process of true reconciliation among leaders and members of the party at all levels. It is our belief that the decision by NEC to constitute this committee will mark the beginning of a new chapter in our great party.”
“Changes are inevitable and disagreements on issues and concepts are an integral part of human and institutional relationships. As a political party built on strong ideology and, parading men and women of enduring principle and integrity, we must prepare for real and anticipated changes and their consequences. The outcomes of changes that evolve in our party politics must be decided by us”.
